11/2005 – 05/2007 Organized prepared and completed a two-stop in southern hemisphere Solo sail around the world; Bristol RI-Opua,NZ, Ushuaia Argentina, USVI , Bermuda to Bristol, 31,400nm on S/Y Inspired Insanity, 28’ Southern Cross Sloop

5/2007 –present Ocean Conservation Advocacy/Youth advocacy (www.oceanswatch.com; www.youth4oceans.pnn.com, www.fortheloveofoceans.pnn.com ) Developing educational programs to teach critical thinking skills and advocacy writing to youth and adults.

2001 – present Professional writing: Written articles about sailing experiences and techniques published by a variety of sailing magazines, re: Latitudes and Attitudes, Caribbean Compass, All at Sea.

05/2006 – present Motivational Speaking for Yacht Clubs, Sailing Yacht Cruising Clubs, Professional Organizations, Libraries, Teacher’s Administrative Organization, Women’s Organizations, Concerts using professional musicianship as well as Audio Visual Aids. (references available)

01/1990 – present Professional Musician – singer songwriter, instrumentalist, produced 4 CD’s, instruments : Guitar, harmonica, Irish Tin Whistle and Bodhran, Caribbean Steel drum –USA, USVI, BVI, NZ, Ireland. Argentina, Chile

06/2001 - 01/ 2003 Circumnavigated the North Atlantic Ocean Solo. 12,000 nm on S/Y Inspired Insanity from St John USVI via Newport Rhode Island, Ireland, Cape Verde Islands back to St John.

05/2003 - present Delivery Skipper/crew – over 15,000 nm on the east coast of USA through Caribbean Islands

02/2005- 06/2005 Sunsail Skipper- Seasonal term chartering on a variety of catamarans and mono-hulls 35-47’, to 10 persons on board.

05/2000 - 02/2005 Parasail/Dive Crew – 2 ½ years – M/V Banana Wind, M/V Banana Bob

Qualifications and Education

4 year Baccalaureate Degree of Science in Nursing – Russell Sage College, Troy, NY. Graduated with honors in 1994

1year Business Management courses- State University of NY at Albany 1994

US Coast Guard License Master 100 ton with Sailing endorsement –1/2005

USCG course SeaSchool.

STCW & Volunteer Drug testing program.

Completed Celestial Navigation Course while on board S/Y Clipper City, Baltimore MD.

Maryland Bible College and Seminary – 3 years in Biblical Studies and Missions

Business and Management courses – 1 year – SUNY @ Albany NY

Word Processing Certification /Accounting Courses – 1 1/2 years, Spencer Business Institute, Schenectady, NY

Delivery Skipper: Mechanical and maintenance experience

Boat Owner. 6 years, S/Y Inspired Insanity. Personally completed rebuild of fiberglass hull, deck and hull joint, rigging, mechanics, electrical systems, electronics, sails etc. Continued maintenance.

Delivery Survey: complete survey prior to delivery, recommendations, requirements.
